The Brisbane Symphonic Band is one of Brisbane's premier community band with origins that date back to 1976. The band regularly performs in its own series concerts, at local and international festivals and as part of Brisbane City Council's Bands in the Park Program.

The band provides an opportunity for adult musicians in the Brisbane Community to come together and share their enjoyment for performing music. With the current success and expansion of the Instrumental Music Program in Queensland Schools, the band also allows students to continue to enjoy playing their instrument, even if music is not their chosen career path. The Band is committed to providing the Brisbane community with opportunities to appreciate and experience live music.

BSB Swing! - the Band's 20 piece big band - regularly performs at weddings, community street festivals, corporate events and has become much sought after for formal and informal events.
