Taiwan Tour - Dec 28, 2008 to Jan 3, 2009

The Brisbane Symphonic Band (conducted by Stefanie Smith) will not only represent Brisbane, Queensland's capital city, but also Australia when it tours Taiwan in December this year. For the third time, the Chia-Yi City Government has selected and sponsored the Brisbane Symphonic Band (BSB) to perform at this major event. The BSB is, once again, proud to be amongst the array of international artists performing at this International Band Festival.

A young Brisbane Pianist/Composer, Alex Raineri will be accompanying the Brisbane Symphonic Band this year as a guest Artist. Alex will bring another dimension to the bands excellent performance abilities and will feature playing a selection of pieces including Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue”
