Resident Composer - Cathy Ferguson
Cathy Ferguson is the Brisbane Symphonic Band's resident composer. She has written and arranged pieces for the symphonic and the swing bands. Cathy, who is currently working full-time at the Queensland University of Technology, draws on her Celtic heritage and early Australian music to produce her colourful compositions. In 2002/3, the Brisbane Symphonic Band premiered two of Cathy's compositions in Taiwan, and featured a further three in their 2004/5 Taiwan tour.
